I know WCR doesn't get much love/discussion around here but I have to say Jim W nails what I want in a pickup.

It's been almost two years since I bought my Godwood and it literally breathes life into anything I put it through.

To segway (and why I'm giving him props):

My ground wire came loose from the baseplate (don't know how) and the lead after many, many pickup swaps was too short to use again so although I was able to replace and fix the single con wiring, the ground from the coils was way too short for me to fix. It had also retracted into the bobbins.

Now although I can solder, I cannot wind pickups.

Shot Jim an e-mail last night and within minuets he e-mailed me back saying he'll fix it free of charge. Although it was probably a boneheaded move as I pulled the the baseplate screws out as to get to the conductor wire and spacers.

Super cool guy.

Just spoke to him about a week ago and he was very kind and super helpful!

Ah yes, Domenic, busy, busy young solderer... lol
Ya know, I WILL take a before and after pic.... ;-)
Thanx Bro, much appreciated!

His pickups really rock too.
I only have two guitars and they both have WCR's in them.
I really like his new Murkat for F spaced guitars...JB ish but smoother.
An Awesome superstrat pickup.
The Godwood and Darkburst are awesome PAF types for Les Pauls too.
I know a lot of guys here play MCP, which are also incredible.
WCR does it for me!

I would love to see that as well.

Can't wait to order some caps next week too! I also have a Sheptone Blue Sky in the neck of my LP that's not doing it so I may order a D. Burst for the neck too.

I've been looking into the Murkat as I'm getting a Mockingbird pretty soon with a Floyd on it. The demo from last year sounded really cool too.

I have the first pair of Ironman pickups in my Ibanez RGA121...Best pickups ever. Jim Rocks!!!!

You're gonna love it. It's an incredible pickup.

It is good to see that some businesses are still "doing the right thing". I have recently experienced the same type of customer service from John Suhr and his employees.

It seems to be very common these days for a company to automatically think how they can profit from simple repairs on their own products. However, I think it is a solid business decision to treat your buyers with respect and try to stay out of their wallets on minor things like this, since the person already bought your product to begin with. In this case, Jim will probably profit more from this act of kindness, due to others seeing this and buying from him, and Domenic buying again in the future.

Wags has a great customer service rep. When I was getting the new clips together I was going through which ones would be used. I pulled out my old "Keebler" 59 LP replica with the Godwoods in it and freaked out. It sounded so good even one of my production crew turned around and said "WTH is that guitar got for pickups? It sounds great!"

Normally nothing is said at all. (I guess I need to practice more, huh? LOL)

Wagner Pickups.

Shit yes he will.

I'm ordering his caps next week and a Darkburst neck pup next month or two.

Scumback BM75's and M75's
Friedman Modded Plexi

It's on the way Bro, wasn't as bad as you thought. Just took about 5 minutes to fix. Now if you just quit trimming the leads so short, it should last a lifetime...
