Now I have another candidate: an 2024 wood library stoptail tremonti in black. The price is between the two I mentioned above, around 10% more expensive than the regular mccarty. I know the main difference between two guitars are the neck shape and the pickups: stock tremonti pickups seems more suitable for me considering what I would like to do with that guitar but I do not gel with very thin necks. What are you experiences with stoptail tremonti vs mccarty guitars? What would bring being the wood library on the top of the regular production?

Heres my artist

I played a McCarty stop tail the other day and loved it. More modern than a Les Paul, but I really dug it and wouldn’t change anything on it. But funnily I played another in the same place and didn’t gel with it at all. So I’d be worried buying without trying.

I agree. I tried another stoptail mccarty from the same year in another music store and it was not as exciting feeling. Maybe the consistency a bit better in wood library / artist models due to the selected woods and a bit more attention.
right now i have a BKP raganrok in it. cool pickup
They might be a bit too much for my taste but would be interested to try them. McCarty seems to be a solid ground to carry powerful pickups
