While I don't disagree about the playing I do question how much post studio processing and editing was done.

My biggest issue is just the way he babbled almost like a crazy person a few years back when he was just starting out. Hearing clips the amp sounds good, as his mods probably do as well. But it was pure comedy reading some of that stuff. He talked about Cameron ripping him off...I get that and I'd be pissed too. But then he brought Friedman into the mix, who did nothing to him. And Scumback speakers also...he just ranted on and on. Its too bad because he really does make a nice sounding circuit..if he only would have had a censor before he posted.. :lol: :LOL: . Not to mention his soldering skills based on some of those gut shots...scary shit. :aww:

Absolutely none. That entire audio and video track were all done in one take simultaneously. Roll camera. Roll Pro Tools. 7 minutes later he posted it on Youtube.

He's still doing it. Did you see how he went off on Mike Fortin on the Jose Arredondo amps Facebook page a few days ago? Blades is a fucking nut and that, along with the awful look of his amps are the reasons I'd never buy one, used or otherwise. No wonder Himmell cut ties with him. He's out of his mind. And props to Fortin for being cool as hell about it. Now that's a class act.

I built pedals for years and always thought builders' obfuscation techniques were ridiculously half-hearted. So he built the amp and then used a paint pen to color everything black, but only on the top so you can still sort of see the values. If you're going to do that kind of stuff, do it right. Buy small diameter aluminum tubing and epoxy a sleeve over every part like Interfax did with the harmonic percolators in the 70s. Or use a solvent to remove the labeling from an RN65 before installation. Then I would be impressed rather than laugh at a bunch of goop and sharpie.

No I didn't. What an fn fool. Again, why he feels the need to attack EVERYONE in the amp business is beyond me. What a jackass. And Mike F is a class act all the way. I've told this story before...I had a Ceriatone Fortin Cali mod and emailed Mike as I was having some issues. He called me the same day I emailed him...that's customer service. And I bought it second hand. He determined that it was the PT and walked my local tech through his circuit to assist him in replacing it. Mike Fortin is one of the truly nice guys in this business..and for Blades to attack him is despicable and classless. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised though...he's gotta be crazy with all those rants I've read.
