Canada sent 100 fighter pilots to the battle of London.
Canada declared war on Germany in September 1939. They fought them for 6 years. Sent 100 fighter pilots to fight in battle of London. We were defending Hong Kong from the Japanese in 1941. We were in France before they surrendered. We sent 5000 soldiers in battle of Dieppe. We defended ports in Denmark. We fought Japs in Africa.
On D-Day, June 6, 1944, the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division and the 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade stormed Juno Beach, fighting fierce opposition from German forces to establish a critical foothold in Normandy. About 14,000 Canadians landed on this key Allied beach, pushing farther inland than any other Allied troops by the end of the day. Their efforts, alongside the support of the Royal Canadian Navy and Air Force, were vital to the success of the Normandy invasion and the eventual liberation of Western Europe.
