Purchased the 78/79 package from IK multimedia, having issues downloading the software....

I sent another message off to IKMM support and I'll see if they have any insight as to what is going on.

Thanks alot for all the suggestions and help fellas, I appreciate it.:2thumbsup:

I just logged on to my IK product manager and it shows my ToneX SE as installed and authorized. The Amplitube 5 SE does not show installed or authorized even though It is downloaded on my computer.
Okay, that's good. So technically the Tonex icon should work to launch the program now. Do you have a Tonex icon on your desktop or toolbar?

Bummer to hear that IK stuff is a nightmare to get it working. Sounds like the company is run by the software engineers. LOL Now I'm glad I didn't buy it.
If it's that much hassle, then to hell with it. Oh, well. (n):bleh:

After it is working and you wrap your head around the workflow, it is pretty nice. Till you get to that point….creative swear words a plenty.

Personally I have never had a single issue with it. I am not sure how so many people have so many problems with it.

The very first time I tried it, I think I understood what was going on after about 5 minutes.

Compatibility issues were on the Q&A sections on the IK support so this can't be a one off issue so maybe they know a workaround.

Marking for later as I have the ToneX software only and Amplitude pak installed but have yet to do anything with it.

I lived in Silicon Valley for most of the 90's. Sold a lot of music gear to suddenly rich software engineers. A LOT of them of 'em couldn't grok the concept that ease of use was important to their customers. One of 'em told me "People are stupid". Next!

something that i didn’t understand was editing the pedal using the app and saving a preset, but then later recalling the preset, and the gain and volume had changed and were way different.

another is when editing a preset, i imported a new hi gain amp into a preset slot, but the character name stayed from the previous preset-clean.
is there a way to edit the character name to match the sound?

You tried the ToneX One pedal? The software isn’t bad to figure out. The pedal part for me is what was difficult.

Yeah, I have a ToneX One pedal. I just make all my changes in the software and then download it into the pedal. There is really no reason to tweak it once it is on the pedal.

They have made a lot of changes. That is why the pedal editor is a separate program now.
if i bought the vh pack and edited a preset to my tastes, can i then send it in it’s entirety to the pedal?

or are there more links in the chain like the phaser/flanger, echoplex, sunset sound reverb, etc that the pedal can’t access and thus the full chain must be run on the computer only?
