Jeff Swanson just finished our first slant 1968 replica Marshall cab and he did a killer job! We got all of the specs from an early '68 slant cab I have. The early ones have quite a bit of detailed work for the baffle board bracing. The birch strip they used at the bottom of the baffle in '68 even got cutouts for speaker frame clearance. It didn't take long for them to figure out easier and cheaper ways to make the cabs. In the raw wood pictures you can see how reddish brown the Fir wood is that we use for all of the bracing and larger center post. We used a faded 2-tone brown basketweave grill cloth as purple never came with Salt & Pepper. The basketweave cabs are always a good bit heavier. I have the matching bottom cab so had to stack them for a few pictures.
