Slapped some JJ KT77's in the Quick Rod.. Man, what a difference. Definitely more aggressive, more harmonics, and more/tighter bottom end.

The amp came with Valve Arts Chinese EL34's. Not bad, not great. The bias was at 28mA. Seriously cold. The PV is about 465, and I know many say a little colder is recommended in these, but a opted for 33mA. Sounds killer! This is the amp I've been looking for for some many years!

You're giving me serious KT77 GAS just reading that.

Congrats again on the amp and results of your tube swap.

Did you buy those JJ's new or where they in your stock already?

I'd only be running 2 as I like 50w mode.

I've got a pair of JJ KT77s in a prototype amp. Sound killer!

JJ KT77's have mojo. They always have, in every EL34-based amp I've tried them in.
