No one's talking about this album?
Those that have is must be locked in a room tripping ballz listening to it.
I know that's what I'm doing.
At first I wasn't to keen on the album.
Then you end up falling down the rabbit hole the more you look inside.
The song I Appear Missing kind of frightens me. With it's eerie feel and almost savant musical genius execution.
Gone on this album is the grimy distorted bass tone, in exchange for a more traditional, thick, clear, pounding bass tone. Fitting IMHO.
I also love the risks they take on this release. Some horns, keyboard accents/highlights.
I hear it and say, "Oh wow, that's risky, and they pulled it off."
Nothing safely done here, with pure confidence in their art. Fantastic.
This album makes me listen, and play music differently. I'm don't just love it, I am thankful for it.
