This could be a basic question, but i have this doubt about my new Einstein 50w Head.

I have read that they affect mainly the power amp, unlike the tone knobs, but my question is, where is the "neutral" position in those knobs (if there is a neutral position with no freq boost/cut)? noon or all the way to the left? My guess
is noon as the 3 tone knobs, but want to be sure about it.

I usually leave mines between 11 to 13 and i'm still experimenting with them, specially playing with the differences when playing solo (more deep to sound more like re-tracked recorded guitars) or with the band (trying to cut through more).

Thanks!

For all intent and purpose, noon on the dials is neutral for our ears.

But technically speaking, I believe all EQ settings including the power section EQ of depth and present are passive in nature, therefore, the amp in its natural state is actually with all EQ knobs wide open; and any adjustment from that is reductive in nature.

Just a hunch. But this has no practical application to your question.

Just go with noon
