question about slaving/HT-5 into my AVT

how would i go about this? the amp has an fx loop with mix control on clean and od channels and the 4/10 db switch thingy. is it a simple case of putting the head into the loop and turn the loop levels fully up? if this works, then sweeet! the blackstar HT-5 is well within my budget and the little buggers sound awesome

I'd suggest selling the ATV to fund a cab, and buy the HT-5.
