Not that I'm in this situation, but the thought just occurred to me and I haven't come across anything that addresses it.

Do you take speaker power handling into account when using the power station to attenuate or boost an amp?

For instance if you have a 5 watt amp with a 15 watt speaker. Then you use the power station to boost the volume up. Do you have to take into consideration that the power station is 50/100 watts and may blow that 15 watt speaker?

Or in the opposite direction since the power station can handle up to a 200 watt amp. If you had a 200 watt amp being "attenuated" by the power station could you now get away with using lower wattage speakers?

You should think of the power station as a 50 or 100 watt power amp depending on which model you have.
So I wouldn’t recommend putting it into a 15 watt speaker.
Realistically the louder you play it the more power goes to the speaker, so at bedroom volumes you might be ok, but I’m not sure it’s a great idea

The power station re-amplifies an attenuated signal, so output power concerns are dictated by the power station's power amp. So I think the answers to both your questions are "yes".

Haven't had/taken the time yet, but I'm dying to plug my IR-J into my PS2A to play thru my cab.
Its nice having headphone capability, but thru a cab I bet will be awesome!
I’m debating getting one to power my kemper through a cab. Not sure if it’s a rabbit hole I have time for right now though

Could be a rabbit hole to some extent...

In my new experience...

I bought the IR-J.
But then wanted recording and headphone capability.
Purchase Motu M2.
But now, pulling up Youtube track to jam with, Youtube is a touch loud. Can't utilize my guitar volume to clean up a little, dynamics etc.
Now I'm looking at the Walrus Canvas Rehearsal pedal.

Will it end? haha

I do think its a great piece of gear though, the PS.
