Quick Clip Testing out MCP Pickup

I recently bought a Detroiter and I decided to record a clip of the 2nd Degree BB before I installed the Detroiter.

Both are perfect IMO. I love the percussive nature of the two. Detroiter just has some more hair. Let me know what you think.

Did you bypass the guitars preamp when you installed it?

Yeah. I removed the Varitone internally and now it's just a dummy switch.

I do have some mic'd up clips but I only have dropbox files.

They're pretty similar. The Detroiter just has more oomph and snarl. There's something about the BB that I love. I can't get rid of either at this point.

Both pickups rock!!!! The 2nd Degree BB is killer though especially in a LP style guitar!!! My favorite is the Angel Dust though!!!!

Sounds great man. I recently emailed Wade about some pickup recommendations. He recommended the dragon suite bride and a new Prototype pickup for the neck position that he's working on called candy or candy's. Can't wait to try them out.

I didn't like the AD but it could've been my Mockingbird. I want to try it again in a different axe.

I was recently waffling between the SDBB and Detroiter and would love to hear a Detroiter clip for comparison. I ended up getting an Arcane Brownbucker but then changed the magnet to A2...now it's right. A5 was not quite it for me even though it often is. But I'm a pickup whore and always like to try others. My LP could use an upgrade.
