Quick Question about your boost pedal

How much does everyone goose their boost (ha! nice phrase Michael).

I go back and forth. Im dimeing it at the moment, but really just for leads.

Guess it depends on the guitar... I play a stratocaster, and it seems to me that no amount of gain is too much.

On my Griffin "Boris" and Keeley Noble Screamer, I typically have level at 2 o'clock or so and then a bit of Gain.

Level between 1 and 3 o'clock, but it really depends on the pedal and how much volume it has available.

I double boost with a GE-7 and BD-2 using half of each to create 1 boost with the GE-7 level at unity gain and the BD-2 level below 12 o clock. This gives the best from both pedals and prevents that overloaded COSM tone from slipping through when you push Boss gain pedals hard.

I've really gotten away from boosts, as for some reason they all just seem to impart a thing I don't like. At least when playing alone. When in a mix, it doesn't seem to matter as much. Nowadays I wind up going back to the ol' GE-7, as the TS stuff sounds too much like a TS, and the SD stuff sounds too much like an SD

Usually 1 or 2 o'clock. Never full on, gets too flubby for my low tuned guitars usually. But it depends if it's a sculpted boost or a full range boost.

On my maxon OD808 I keep the level cranked, drive off and tone at about 1 o'clock. If that is too much I just lower the gain on my amp.
