I was on my way to that show but turned around. I am glad that I didn't witness that.

A song for Dime. I used the PQ3 for this so I find it fitting!!!

cant believe its been 5 years already. i got to meet and hang out with him just a few nights before when damageplan was around. it still brings a tear to my eye thinking of when i heard the news on howard stern that morning. RIP dime

My friends and I were all big rock fans. Then I picked up GSTK and it completely blew me away. I mean, I had always loved metal but this was METAL. I always turn up Pantera on the radio, and the one song I have a tough time getting through is Cemetery Gates, really a soulful song.

RIP Mr. Abbott You brought metal back to life.

Thats really cool Ralphie, man, I have an idea I've been wanting to do as a "Dime" Tribute, but need someone to program the Drums for me, I suck at it. Gonna be a HEAVY tune, just the way Dime would've liked it :D Someday, I'll get it done, hell I may even hit you up to do the solo for me ;)

RIP.

I was in the Reserve Officer School at that time and we were on a training camp when it happened. When we got back to the barracks a few days later, I turned on my mobile phone and got a SMS my brother had send me after he had heard about the shooting. I was like WTF...

R.I.P brother Dime.

My Goatee is pink today in his honor, as it has been the last 3 years on this very day.

Terrible waste of a life and an incredible talent. :(

I was traveling heavily, for business, during this period and when I could, I would schedule my visits to various cities around shows I wanted to see....Got to see A LOT of great concerts for several years...

I was scheduled to be in town and had a ticket for this show, but my travel plans got changed at the last minute, so I flew out. I am so glad I wasn't there to see it happen. Bums me out bad enough without havint the visual in my memory.

RIP Dimebag.

Will never forget the night i found out about it all.. I had a gig that night and i was in the middle of a soundcheck when i heard the news from a friend of mine. I felt sick to my stomach and almost couldn't believe that it had really happened.

I grew up listening to Pantera and Dimebag was like my biggest influence when i was growing up and throughout my teen years. Me and a couple of my close friends used to watch the Pantera Home Videos all the time, we pretty much idolized Dime!

I played the gig that night and we dedicated the show to Dimebag. We all knocked back a few BlackTooths before and after the gig, Dime style.

What a great talent. I just got done reading the book "Black Tooth Grin" which I found to be a fairly good read.

RIP Dime!

Hard to believe that its been 5 years already
