DIMEBAG IS THE KING OF GUITAR

A Cowboy From Hell, that was Far Beyond Driven, you were Goddamn Electric, the Medicine Man, who wrote his Message In Blood, using The Art Of Shredding, you died in a Vulgar Display Of Power, Walk to the Cemetery Gates, Rise above the Floods, you are forever Stronger Than All, and we are forever Hollow. Just jammin 13 steps the past few days!!
That and SLAUGHTERED!!!!

HELL YA!!

I remember we played a show that night and about 2am my bass player called me just when I got home, he was drunk as hell telling me Dime got killed. I really didn't believe him cause of how fucked up he was, but unfortunately it was true. We had played w/Damageplan @ a festival show only about 3 weeks earlier. I met Vin, but never tracked Dime down. At least I got to hear him tear it up one last time.

RIP Dime

I just happened to read an article in the Columbus Monthly magazine. It's a shame, but the Abbott family took the owner to court and tried to sue. Turns out, they only got a small payment. By "shame" i mean that the owner of the Alrosa Villa had nothing but extreme remorse about the incident and also said many highly complementary things about Darrell. According to his security, they actually knew there was an incident a few nights ago at a Damage Plan concert in Cincinatti and the Gales guy got his ass kicked pretty bad. I guess I'm just saying it was a shame for the club owner, because he obviously had no intention of putting the band in harms way from this deranged person.

Yeah I read that as well in "Black Tooth Grin" that there was a previous incident with Gales. Hind sight is always 20/20 and I don't see suing the club owner for money makes anything any better.

Amazing talent...and seemed to be a truly nice and fun guy. RIP Dime!

Murder is the most cowardly act anyone could ever be a part of. The guy that did this is a grade a POS, may he dwell in the house of flames forever... :gethim:
