Hey guys!

I finally got my hands on a Randall Diavlo 100 RD100 amp! A guy near me traded it for one of my amps that I had two of. I had a RD45 years ago for a week or so and while I thought it was a great amp, I did return it because at that time I wanted something a little bit more versatile. Now I have the 100 watt version which is great because the gain 2 channel is KILLER!

I go in-depth in the video but I will say a few things:

- It's not really a high-gain amp by default without the built-in boost. It's almost like a modded JCM 800 or something but with a tighter sound. When you switch on the boost it has plenty of gain though!

- The cleans are good! A little dark and bassy but good!

- The crunch tones are good too, which was surprising!

- It's great for low tunings and extended range guitars.

So yeah, I'm digging this amp and I think it sounds really good, hopefully it shows in the video. Of course if you have any questions about the amp I'd be more than happy to answer them!

Glad you like it. For me, the 100 I had years back was the WORST sounding amp I’ve ever bought. The first amp that needed an eq in the loop to even sound halfway decent. Ugh
By contrast, the 45 sounded way better.
Maybe mine was a lemon? But I returned it immediately. It was new.

Maybe it just wasn't your thing, and that's totally fine of course. You could have had a lemon too, dunno? I know that tweaking this amp can be a little weird with the EQ and the boost but I thought it sounded pretty great when dialed in. Did you also dislike the sounds in the video? If so, then it's probably just not for you.

Nah, the vid sounded good. Just wasn’t my thing, in person.
