OVerall I would say it was a solid demo... totally ok if the amp doesn't work for a lot of people because it will work for that many more. I liked the Yngwie Esque runs on the neck pup too! The amp seemed to really handle the fast runs well and stayed tight.

Sounds pretty good to me, the killer playing always helps ;)

Both clips sounded great. I bet in the future they'll be dirt cheap on the used market.

Honestly, I still don't get why someone would gauge whether or not to buy something on a YouTube clip but whatever floats your boat.

Thanks for the demo.

That was awesome Jason!! Always enjoy your playing and tones! Definitely a killer amp, especially for the pricetag!

Great demo jason, i just got a rd 100 it is a great amp. Not much in 800$ price range will touch it.

Thanks for the demo Jason! Im sure some will ask for vintage sounds if you do a Thrasher demo as well   But anyway, great playing as well! The ozzy stuff sounded dead on! I'm sure that if the Ozzy stuff was mixed in with bass and drums it would sound pretty close to the original. These amps really seem to have a very dominate mid range. Similar to my Splawn, even if I do turn the mids all the way to 0, the core sound of the amp is still there and still cuts through. It's like you cant kill the mid range lol. But I dont think that there is ANYTHING to complain about on this amp at all, considering the price. Sure, maybe if this was in the same price range as what the Thrasher and Satan are going to be, I can see how it might leave people wanting a little more, and expecting it to be able to do all types of different sounds. But it's half the price and still sounds THAT good! I'm sold. Hell I was sold when i heard how good the 1 watt version sounded. As you have stated before, this amp does sound better than other amps I have heard that cost twice the price. Nothing to complain about here. I don't get in a Honda Civic and expect it to have the performance of a BMW, even though a BMW engineer may have had a hand in designing it.

Thanks alot man!

Agreed. I haven't cared about 80's tones in years. I'm an older guy but I'd rather hear the massive thump of modern amps these days. I guess I've had vintage amps forever so it's time to move on. Still use a JTM45 for many things but when I want big rock it's a modern amp.

Anyway. Thanks for the vid. That amp has killer tone. ;)

Amp sounds great for sure.....but like you mentioned in the first metal clip you posted.
When playing hair rock stuff....I pretty much use a metal setting(gain maybe noon or less) just gives it that edge to me.
Sounds great still with a flair of modern tone. We played some old Dokken and Kiss stuff last nite with the Amp set fairly modern compared to a Marshall and it was ripping with the drums.
Rolled right into some White Zombie and Lamb of god and didnt miss a beat. Same settings

As always love the playing Jason. My 2 cents... Really like the higher gain stuff but the midgain and clean stuff were so so sounding for me. Still for the high gain tones, especially at this price I think it sounds pretty damn sweet!

For sure!! Jason is a monster on the axe. Played the ozzy stuff without batting an eye. I liked his metal video of this amp.

Sounds great Jason!!! I really like your style of playing and the amp sounds great especially for the price!!!

Awesome Jason! I don't care about period correct tones or "can it do this tone convincingly". I like to hear "your" take on it with whatever amp/guitar you are using. I seriously can't stand it when people have to have it sound absolutely identical. To me, that is what makes gear demos so fun. I like listening to "your" take on the original. In fact, I don't even like to hear a note for note re-creation of the original. I like to hear some creativity.

Sorry to blab on, all of you videos including this one are just killer. The only thing that would make it better is if you used the TAG Drop Top! :poke: :2thumbsup:

Thanks, Chad! I totally agree with that. I don't even play my own stuff note for note!

You know it's clear that that type of music isn't Jason's thing. Myself I typically dial most amps in to sound good to my playing style. So what happens with me, I try to get the amp to sound like my setup. Even my wife can pick me out of a crown when I try out an amp because she recognizes my sound and playing style. I'm sure Jason does the same thing. So, it's going to sound totally different with me playing through it and dialing it in. I've heard enough of this amp to know you can get a rippin hard rock 80's type tone. Would I dial it in like Jason.....No. But my guess is, that if you're that style of player you'll find the tone in this amp. Just like people always say you can't get JCM 800 tone out of a JVM. But, I know I can get damn close. And if you're dismissing this amp based on clips I think you're going to miss out. I'd buy one of these in a heart beat. Although I like modern stuff, I'm more in the camp of classic, hard rock and 80's metal as far as my tone. Plus, gainfreak also said it could easily do those tones. And between, these two guys and what I've heard, I believe them.

Bottom line is, no matter what I play or how I dial an amp in, it's gonna have a similar sound because of the way that I play. My right hand is a huge part of how I sound and it doesn't matter if I play some 80s bullshit or super heavy modern stuff, the similarities will be there.

I really hate doing coves of songs in demos...like really hate it. That is why 99% of my demos are completely original songs written and produced by me. I learned something by doing this video for sure. Actually, I already knew it but now it's just cemented in my brain!

I hope people get something out of the demos I do, I try to keep them honest and not do much post production, if any at all, on the guitar tracks. This one, especially, is raw and out there. I don't see many people posting vids just sitting there and playing warts and all.
