i'm thinking about jumping on this. any thoughts?

i trying to decide between the randall diavlo rd50, peavey 6505+, or Traynor YCS100H. which way should i go?

Damn tough call. Id be mad I didn't wait for the rd45.

But if this one has the tweak then id say hell yes.

Never heard the Traynor, owned a 6505. Although its a great amp id still prefer the Diavlo.

i doubt the Randall has the tweak.....hence the price. but at that price, i could afford to get the tweak. not sure what the rd45's are gonna sell for.

I'd wait also. Actually, I am going to wait myself. I'm not quite sure which one I'll get yet. The 5, 20 or 45. Leaning towards the 20. Besides the internal updates, the new ones look way cooler IMO.

i called musicians friend and asked if they could verify the Fortin hang tag on the amp.....they will email me after they open a box and find out. i read somewhere else that a guy bought one back in November and it was modified. for $299, if it's Fortin modded, it would be hard to pass up. but the hints i'm getting from others tells me i should wait.

the new ones are Fortin versions. the current stock versions are supposed to have tags that say Fortin modified....but you gotta make sure it has the tag, or it's an old stock model that doesn't sound as good.

also, the RD50H is now a RD45H....but like i said, the current line of RD50H's should have the Fortin hang tag on them if they were modded (which most of them should have been).

I got one from MF that was Fortin modded. Sounds killer and that's a great price. It ships with el34s, not sure what else is different than the rd45(6L6)? Panel looks the same?

Hey get 3 at those $$, and run w/d/w, oh shit do it in stereo even, take half a dozen.
Still cheaper than 1 boutique amp.
