Randall/Fortin they're great

Don't take it personally, man. ;)

You have no idea how hard everyone is working to get this stuff out. It is a monumental chore to develop these amps at the level that Randall wants to achieve and rushing things to market makes no sense. I don't remember there being a hard release date ever set for the amps officially by Randall. Just that they are coming.

Just so you understand, the Thrasher is the Natas design. The Satan is a bit different with a few tweaks that Ola wanted in his amp.

Thrashers are being built as we speak and they will land in October sometime.

All I know is, my Fortin modded marshall is the best high gain amp I've owned, Mike is a freaking genius.

Why don't you expend your obvious amounts of free time and sadness towards asking *Randall* about your disappointment?

Well I havent owned anything Fortin or Randall. I am very pumped about the RD100 after seeing killertones clips.

Again, I have only heard clips but I was pretty let down with the Thrasher sounds I heard.

I can agree that this whole thing was very highly hyped especially on the boards.

However, I think the hype is warranted. Fortin is one of the best amp builders in the world who signed with a HUGE amp company. They have revamped and redesigned their entire cataloug, came out with many new amps/pedals/ect and cater to the metal guys that have kept them going over the years.

Mike has had hype around him since he started modding and building his own amps and for very good reason. I don't think anything he has ever done has been over hyped as it delivers on every level. His quality level is just about untouched if you are lucky enough to own one of his amps. Mike has had the incredibly difficult task of translating that type of quality to a mass market. The amount of projects he is involved in for Randall would blow your mind. I couldn't take that amount of stress! :no:

Anyway, what I am saying it's not really hype if it's true. :dunno:

Who was that? Anyways, I've been playing the same amp that Mike modded for me for almost 3 years and ZERO desire for any other amp. That's nothing more than personal preference though. I also own one of the 5 watt Diavlos(modded :D more on that later) and it is cool as hell. Run that thing into a 100 watt power section and it kills. In fact, next show I play(don't know when that will be :doh: :no: ) I will use the RD5. Like I said earlier, I have pretty much ZERO desire for any other amp(although I do like to try things) but I will be getting another of the new Randall products because it has THAT tone I love. The little 5 watter has it and from the clips I've heard(Killertones) the RD100 has it too and at some great prices. The tone I like at killer prices, that's all the hype I need.

Then we'll see what it can do... to author of this thread, don't worry about it. Randall has a history of not delivering on a lot of it's promises and press releases. Nothing personal against Randall , ( I play a Lynchbox) I just think management needs to work on how they approach the business. They have a lot of great design people working for them but they really suck at meeting customer needs and things take too long to come out (if they ever do)
