Anyone have one of these . Recently picked up a Randall v2 and I’m digging it ! So I’m on a Randall kick . Might pick up a 100es but I’ve been curious about the kh103. I guess it’s the same circuit as the fortin meat head . All the online demos sound killer . Anyone have opinions ?

I almost pulled the trigger on one myself. Interested to see if anyone responds. Randall doesn't get much love here, but I've had a few. Tone-wise, they've always delivered. But, quality went down the shitter, as did Randall as a company. I loved the Thrasher 50, and the RD45H. Had to return/exchange a few that arrived broken, (brand new).

Agreed seems like they get a shit wrap. I bought my v2 on a total whim and a good price . And I’m really surprised at how well it actually sounds . Biggest transformer I’ve ever seen in a amp ! Plus getting essentially the meathead circuit at a fraction of the price is appealing as well

I wasn’t crazy about the kh103. Much preferred the Thrasher and Satan. Go for those instead imo. Very good amps for the money, especially used, but would still choose in that price range a good boogie mark iii or boosted old JCM800. I had a 1986 RG100ES and it sounded great for what it is. Hard amp to beat in that price range. I may even choose that RG over most high gain amps made today. Sounded and felt really good to play. Despite it being solid state, I'd say the vast majority of high gain amps made today sound less organic imo. There are some good sounding vintage solid state amps that are a lot of amp for the money. My Westbury is also a really good sounding old solid state amp, but more of a clean/blues/classic rock amp. Not keeping it, but given that its under $200 is insane

I've got one and I absolutely love it. Feature-rich, and more importantly, I like the tones. I haven't seen too many fans of this one. Good, got mine dirt cheap, ha ha. It has a punch to it that I really enjoy. The dirty bright switches are uselessly brighter than the sun, but whatever. It can do KT120s, holy shit, gotta try those. The green leds look amazing. I'm gonna outfit mine with green knobs, ha ha. I boost it just like my invader, output on half-ish.
