Randall Nuno?

Has anyone had a chance to play throught the Randall Nuno amp? I think it's called the NB King?
 
its not technically released yet.

there are 2 models that exist

one of them has clips on youtube, and to say the least, i was far from impressed. there are better amps here at RT that i thought easily kill it. although its hard to judge from a shitty youtube clip.

let us know if you find anything else!
 
Which two models? Didn't realize that. So, you've gotten to play one? Which amps here did you like better? Thanks...
 
theres 2 models that exist.

as in, 00001 the prototype, 00002, and 00003.

they arent released yet. and no, i just mentioned i saw it on youtube through a youtube clip :thumbsup: :confused:

i also said, from the soundclips i have heard on youtube versus other high-end amplifiers here on RT, i would choose from the random assortments here on the forum.

havent touched one, and wouldnt really care to with complete honesty.

Ok cool. I was a bit confused as I had asked if anyone had gotten a chance to play one yet. I have heard a few clips on youtube and I agree they aren't the best. I do think it sounds pretty decent in this vid however. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfX3BjdqBIQ . It's at 6:57. There are a ton of killer amps on here but the features and price on the nuno are appealing to me. So, has anyone here had a chance to plug into one?
 
It has been released. My friend has one and I think they are cool amps for the money!! :rock:
 
you'll see more and more shops carrying them as time goes on but they are definately in production now.i havent looked at it in a while and dont know if there are any wait times, but im sure that its october and stores are carrying them now perfectly alright. its been a month since i replied in the first post - look at the date. so you should be alright.

looks cool
and sounded great live
maybe not on youtube
but live, standing right there, he sounded cool
he played it completely dry I think
but Nuno would have sounded good with any amp
 
I had one at the house for a few days and found it very thin, bright, and harsh. Cool looking amp but definitely not for me. I demo'd it through a bogner os 2x12 with v30's.

I could see that happening for sure. V30's would be the last speaker id pick for it. id probably go with greenies or h30's and definitely 4x12.
I only played it at NAMM and id love to revisit it again. :rock:

But hasnt that always been Nuno's tone, especially when he was using the Padauk N4? Thats a bright wood.
 
Wish I could have demo'd it through some 65's or GB's. I think his sig cab is ported and loaded with GB's. I'm sure it sounds much better through his cab.
 
Doesn't sound too bad here methinks. Channel 1 cranked is very cool too!
