Wish I could have demo'd it through some 65's or GB's. I think his sig cab is ported and loaded with GB's. I'm sure it sounds much better through his cab.

Yeah, his signature cab comes with greenbacks. Nuno has said that he's always used greenbacks (just like EVH) so that adds thickness and warmth to the tone, for certain. You would have to have a thinner, brighter sound from the amp to get the tight definition Nuno gets through greenbacks.....I think that's the formula (again, like EVH). But you also need some VOLUME to make the magic happen.

Man, I'd really like to hear this amp but no stores in my area ever plan to carry it. I'd love to hear some more tone reports from folks who have tried it.

Makes perfect sense to me. One day I'm going to swap out my v30's with some scumbacks.

But hasnt that always been Nuno's tone, especially when he was using the Padauk N4? Thats a bright wood.

My Padauk N4 is very warm sounding, like mahogany not bright at all.

Do you have the Bill Lawrence in it? Mine was ice pick city until I replaced that pickup with a Suhr SSH+, and its still much brighter than both of my Mahogany Suhrs (one of which has a maple top).

Wait till spring and you can find em cheap. Extreme aint gonna do shit in this music atmosphere. I wish they would/could. Aint gonna happen. Could be wrong.

The amp is tuned to the cab so make sure you try it with the respective cabinet. I must say its one of the meanest sounding amps i have ever heard. Check out Extreme's Take US Alive DVD... tone is ferocious... tight, percussive and crunchy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-NoR2Kc9dE

Aslo recently heard Nuno on the Rihanna tour and his tone was insane. The other guitar player is using Diezel's and the NB King made it sound like a toy.
