The switching mode of the Randall would allow me to pair a heavy EG5 setting with 6L6s. With the press of a preset (MIDI) button, switch to an SL2x with EL34s. Looking at the back of the Randall, each channel can go out MONO at various ohms.
I have a 212 Genz Benz. Actually, I have two. It can take 4 ohm mono, or 8 ohm stereo. Theoretically, I could run Randall channel 1 to left cab input, and Randall channel 2 to right cab input. In switching mode, only 1 12" cone would be pushing air at a time. If I run the Randall in stereo mode, than both speakers are pushing air (6L6 / EL34).
I'm not even sure if what I just said is correct / possible? LOL
Ok ... here's my question. Is it possible to feed the main and extension outputs of Randall channel 1 to a cab, but also channel 2 at the same time? Is there like a device that provides speaker load for the power amp, but is switchable?
I know I could run the Randall to 2 separate cabs, but when switching Randall channels, depending on how far apart the cabs are, your sound will jump around the room. It would be nice to feed a single cab. Is this possible? How?
