The first one is 78 2204 that RB modded in 1991 or 2 at Maken Music In NH. a little later Mark C was working at GC in Redondo at the time and he tweaked it a little too. He was recommended by John Norum who lived right around the corner from the GC. It later went back to RB for a new headshell. Then once again back to Mark for some more fairy dust.. It has been in hawk in a pawn shop in washngton for the last 18 years. Was never mine, but I have played it extensively and it is an amazing amp. lots of gain and it comes on quick. It was the best straight up 80's sounding amp I ever played for what that is worth.. Lynch /Martini tone drip out of that thing.
Then the leaning tower of bankruptcy has a Caveman head on top right. the empty caveman combo shell is bottom right.
The XTC is 100b serial # 001. Mine for many years but I sold it to a friend. edit looks like that one is 060 not 001.
the gut shot is a Caveman. Talk about a labor intensive amp. great tone. regret selling it too.
And yes that is RB and I at Namm in like 2002 ish

What a waste, just being locked away for 18 years. With tones like you describe, I bet it would be fun to play.

Hey Steve! Happy New year! I remember that. He was already on a tear by 11am IIRC. That was awesome. Do you rememeber.. I brought a back pack full of the freshest best and also oiliest smoked salmon..
It was funny watching people in the music booths (some vendors and artists included...Peter..) haha.. Th elite of music industry caught wolfing down the goods and then wreaking of smoked fish with their fingers dripping with oil. It was funny as hell but no one was complaining cause that fish was good. ( it was really ralph's kidney in a jar..

Then came the hotel room that became the Fart Tank with Kage, Ralph, Bob .. Capped that one off with some drunk dining at Dennys with the same crew plus Mark C. omg !! tears of laughter in recollection of that one. Definitely the funnest NAMM show ever for me!

Happy New Year to you too! Yes that was a great show. I missed out on your smoked salmon dammit. That show had Shawn Lane and some fantastic stuff. My favorite NAMM and RB was and crazy funny that day.
