Re-tubed my Diezel Einstein with 6L6. Here's an Audio Clip

so, I liked the improvement on the clean and low gain setting with the 6L6 that it inspired me to record something very quickly in Garage Band.

That sounds nice. Not how you usually hear a Diezel. I've always been a 34 guy but lately I find myself preferring 88s and 6l6s. Love the heft and lower mids of those tubes.

I actually prefer the 6L6 for clean. But EL34 DO sound a bit better in the gain department. Now, I have some KT77 in my Vh4 and those tubes sound VERY nice.. they're like a mix between the 6L6 and the EL34.....awesome.


but I'm really really diggin' these 6L6s in my Einstein. I think I'll leave them in there
