I have owned almost every Top Shelf Amplifier there is worth having,
Diezel: 2 Herbert's, VH4, Einstein 100
Bogner: XTC 101B, Uberschall
Wizard Metal 100, VHT Ultra Lead, Elmwood Modena M90
Custom Audio OD100SE+ Soldano SLO
Engl Steve Morse Sig. 100, Marshall JCM 800 2203
I have enjoyed this Ride to the Fullest, as you would think.
But at the end of it all, I have realized that I didn't need to
spend all that kind of cake to enjoy a Tone that knocks my sox off.
I've been smart about rolling cash and trades from one Amp deal into another,
so I haven't lost my shirt along this ride. I've played all these amps
with Fantastic results in Jam sessions and at home.
I will own a couple of these again and never part with it, like
the Soldano SLO and the Diezel VH4.
What I'm tryin' to get at is......I play a Two Amp Rig in stereo
and my current Rig is a Splawn QuickRod and Peavey 6534+
I cannot believe the Tone I get out of this combination!!!
Remember, I played the Herbert & XTC 101B combination for
a long time, and the Splawn/Peavey combo is "COMPLETELY
KICKING MY ASS" and I'm speechless over it.
Peavey has come along way with this 6534+ series, Great F***in Tones!!
Standing in front of them when they're Cranked up
Can't believe my ears....If I only knew this before.......
I don't regret the Ride one Bit though,
I will have another SLO/VH4 combination again.
