Reb Beach says Kirk sucks

He's right, Reb's a cool, funny guy and a killer player.

Kirk seems like a nice guy though, can't stand his playing myself
 
Professional jealousy is a strange thing. Reb's only chance of achieving success anything close to Kirk's is to maybe apply for a guitar tech position with Metallica. Reb will forever be known as the other guitarist in "that" band and I am sure that it is a jagged pill to swallow.
 
I wandered into a G center in 91- the height of Winger
There's Reb. 4 hours before an in store appearance. He hung out for Hours talking guitar...might be the friendliest "celebrity" ever

That being said, Winger sucks, Kirk has gone backwards from 91 but classless for a peer to state as such
 
Metallica, still filling arenas. Winger, not so much.

So what, he's voicing his opinion....he's just as entitled to voice that opinion as anyone else. I'm sure Kirk doesn't give a fuck.....why should any of you?
 
reb needs to realise he also sucks! never heard anything rememberable from him NOTHING!

Nothing really new here... I think even Kirk Hammet knows he sucks. $$$$$ talks..all the chops in the world walks if nobody gives a shit about you. One thing I'll give Kirk is his rythm playing. I think he does a more than respectable job there. Leads wise, he's garbagge but his phrasing worked for Kill em All, Master and And Justice. That said, no excuses, the guy does not understand pitch and has a horrible vibrato. I can't believe he was a Satch student..

As for Reb. Amazing player but enough of the fucking tapping everything already. Nobody gives a shit how amazing your runs are if you tap every damn note in a scale.

Exactly. People just can't seem to get around Hamster and his ride with Metallica.

Reb's got some unique tricks:
a real cool ascending tapping technique where he pluck/taps to go up
left hand hammer natural harmonics while right hand whammys

still never got those tricks down; Reb just drills those things repeatedly
 
I would rather listen to st. anger than anything by winger and i cant stand st anger.
