Hello all,
So after so much GAS over amps and FX I am content in that department (for the moment) and looking for my next guitar have had my Gibson Les Paul studio for along time as it is my only guitar and love it to death but want something different looking for a super strat kind of idea, Would love a Suhr modern but that’s out of my price range which is around 1500$
Was thinking maybe a Used PRS or something along those lines something with a rosewood or ebony neck with humbuckers hmm..
Open to any suggestions!

You can get a used Suhr Pro S1/S2 in the $1250-1500 range or new for not much more than $1500.

Hmm i cant find any for that price look on the bay an such the used price range is like 1800-2000$

You may want to checkout a Carvin. I've been really happy with mine.

I agree, Suhr Pro Series! Plays and sounds as good as my Suhr Standard. Just not as "fancy".

sell your studio or save a little more & buy a les paul custom. There are some kick ass 70s & 80s customs out there that I wish I had the money for right now.

 I don't know how you can equate an LP or PRS to a Super Strat?
Scale length, bolt-on vs set neck, trem, etc....

How diverse are you playing-wise? The Suhr Pro's are real nice guitars (or I am assuming they are based on Suhr's reputation and everything I've read on the net, I've never physically seen one). You could also go with a straight-up strat - that would be COMPLETELY different than the Lester. PRS will be different, but still have a similar vibe.

Personally, I would go with something that had a couple single-coils and a bridge hum that you could split. Maybe a Suhr Pro, Jackson Soloist or Dinky, Fat Strat...

Ah thanks I think im leaning towards the PRS have played many and have loved them all.
Just now to find one used a Les Paul custom would be awsome but right now im looking for something different then my 10 pound beast ha.

PRS and LPs cover the same kinda ground... I'd get a strat or superstrat. Say a used EJ strat or one of the new Charvels that are 1099 list.

Pete

Another option... Washburn N4. Mine is way better than I ever hoped for.

 x81283470128734 YES. There was one on eBay I'd sell my kidney for, and it is just under 2 grand. :(

I agree, buy something that will hold it's value over a long period of time and is also a nice guitar. There are a lot of older LP's for sale for pretty cheap right now.

Will think about this... if you dont hear from me its because i sold one of my organs to afford a les paul custom or a suhr and it failed causing my death so hopefully a NGD will be in my future.
