Recomend me a fender (or any other strat) with a floyd

Hi guys,

posting for my friend here.

He doesnt know to much about gear and im helping him find a guitar (and i dont even know where to start!)

He sure can play though.

anyway...


Her wants a Fender Strat with a Floyd

Im not sure what the story is with the Fenders with floyds.

we looked at Charvels and the Jackson Adrian smith but out of his price range.

We are not in USA and his budget is about 800USD

Show me what we can get!!

Must be a very STABLE guitar, well built and good hardware etc

until i read the price limit I was going to say a Jason smith custom shop with a floyd. I played a few and they were nice but..... around $7000.

Aren't the new Charvels in that price range plus a little? I think there's one or two in the classifieds, and probably a few on ebay.

Yeah they are, but not here any more due to the dollar. Can maybe order one in new or 2nd hand. thanks for that!

Was still interested to see what fenders in that price range and any other brands/models

I really like my HRR strats , even more than the usa floyd rose classic strat.

What was called a Fat Strat, which was out in the late nineties both in the US and in Europe, had a HB in the bridge and an Original Floyd Rose Tremolo, they are excellent and if you can find one, they have a great sound.
Here is a great guitarist I admire, you may have heard of him, Gary Moore, these guitars I liked for a Strat Floyd.

Hope this helps, Gary makes any guitar sound good, but if you want a Fender these aren't made anymore, but I would have bought one and I have plenty of OFR guitars!
