Bogner/CAA ported cube 1x12, i think it's the best in its class, and it competes with larger cabs too (even with 4x12 i swear by it).

Dave I have the Bogner cube, Mesa EVM Thiele, Diezel 1x12 and Pacific works 1x12. If you live near me you are welcome to borrow any/all of them to try.
 
Port City OS 1x12 w/ an EVM-12L

I have a number of tube amps and they all sound great through the cabinet. The upside is you can run a 100w head through it and it won't care. :-)

My fave's are the Bogner and CAA 1X12's however, there is also the guy that makes the custom cabs out of hardwood that's been at the NY ampshow (1st or 2nd room on the right when you walk in). Last year I looked at them. This year I listened to them and he had 1 particular 1X12 that KILLED both in terms of volume and tone.
 
I'm digging my Egnater Rebel 112x. For amps that have a lot of bottom end (like Rectos) it sounds a bit too loose to me because it's ported but for a tighter amp (Marshallish?) it sounded sweet. Check it out...they're cheap too.
