Nah seriously though we tried richies d120 and the 2 different engls we had and the diezel killed them all in the recordings. the herbert really doesnt sound the same as it does in person (deff sounds way better in person) but it sounds the best recorded. We did the recording with a $300 mic preamp and a sm57. Considering that I think it came out pretty awesome.

That is the only thing i agree with - Herbert's are absolute monsters under a mic - they sound killer there. But i could never own/run one live

Can't hear anything over the snare. And those vocals are crazy distracting.

I'd like to give you an opinion on your tone, but I can't make anything out.

congratulations on the effort, and on being able to finish and publish your album.

Having said that (and this is not a critic on your band per se but the genre) I don't understand this style.

to me this sounds like complete noise lacking any melody. again I'm not talking about your songwriting in particular, just the genre.

But congrats on the effort.

Interesting comment coming from you considering not many here have any interest in stuff you post either.

precisely why I have a right to express what I dont like either.

and as far as I know this forum is not a metal forum only.... it's an open forum.

and by the way, I find funny how you made it personal by saying " considering not many here have any interest in stuff you post either"

I stated what I don't like about the Genre, not his band in particular, I did my best not to sound rude or impolite towards him or his band, but you on the other hand when straight at me. Shows how classy you are.

Admittedly, im not a metal guy, but the playing and tones on there are sick man. You got skills.
Sounds great!

ehhh....Richies Deliverance sounds better......;)

HAHAHAHAHA You know that is not the truth at all lololol

Oh ya? Look at my signature, and then ask me again which amp in a mix you think I prefer? LOL. I owned a herbert, I do love the way it records, but I am with the guys above, I could never gig with it on its own. The tones are ridiculous in a studio/on your own, but definitely not my thing live, which is what I was mostly going for. And since I am accustomed to the VHT/Fryette sound, there was no way in hell my herbert was hangin with my ultralead.

lol yeah i saw your signature thats why i put that lol. We should deff get together sometime and jam out dude. I love the way the UL sounds. I almost got one over the herbert but the herbert was more my thing. theres alot of guys that say they cant get the herbert to push through the mix live and thats because it's not set up like any other amp ive ever played. I use some pretty unusual settings when im playing with a band and it cuts through better then anything ive ever used or heard. took a while to dial it in and i really had to be creative with the settings. But it does slay in a recording setting ;)

I'm 26 and Aerosmith sucks.....

The heaviest I'll go, and likely some of my favorite, would be Machine Head, Killswitch, some Inflames, much more extreme than that and it starts to just turn into gargled dog crap with no melody, like all the band members are trying to play something different at the same time and the lead singer is an old rottweiller.

Don't know why.....still can't get it to go. I don't know what's up. Sorry man; was interested and wanted to hear it.

Man sounds great I liked it a lot. The Herbie sounds killer. I have always liked the heavier stuff and still do today as long as it has thought to it. A lot of people cant get over the vocals though I for one enjoy a good screamer... I bet if a lot of guys that diss this type of metal got a listen to just the instruments with out the vocals they would probably dig it.

The vocals to me fit right in to the style of music could you a imagine Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder or Layne Staley singing to this type of music, I don't think so and those are some of my all time favorite singers.

Just like tone is subjective music is as well we should all have and speak our opinions constructively and tell the truth but most important we should always support our brothers...

Good job brother sounds fucking killer.

I thought it sounded awesome man! i play in a rock/hardcore, and an indie type band these days, but grew up with thrash death and grind. you guys got it goin on.

Thanks for the support and good things to say about the album guys!! I really appreciate it. I also appreciate the negative comments as well. There is always room for improvement!!!

Steinmetzify: I sent you a PM!
