Nice!!
You could make it a natural (like an aquarium) setup instead bro'.I'm not looking forward to trying to figure out the sand pump.
I'm sure Floyd eye is gonna give me a verbal berating for not using beams under the joists, but the span is not that big and it's just for my wife, so she can sit in a pool. She always wanted a pool, but our yard is too sloped and I'm not staying in MA. I'm not looking forward to trying to figure out the sand pump. More joists to go in, and more supports, stairs leveled, but I wanted to get the frign lattice done first, as it has a frame and is a pain in the ass. It's not really up to code, but for a floating deck, it will be fine. I have cedar to go on top. Fucking rains every Saturday which is the only day I have to work on this. I hate carpentry. Too many fucking tools required to do this shit.

They live out in western MA. I believe the term "hicks" is used instead of rednecks but similar.since when does MA have rednecks?
That was 5 years 40 years ago. Things have changed since then i think?i lived in western mass for 5 yrs back in the 80s.
nope no hicks there either
Well it's just a term used for the pool. Redneck wants a pool. Redneck can't afford pool. Redneck converts stock tank into a pool for cheap cash. That was 5 years 40 years ago. Things have changed since then i think?
Or maybe OP is using the term in an unusual way, or possibly using the term in comparison to Boston?

Now redneck is not confined to geography. It's a state of mind. I always got a long better with people from down south. Intuitively, I know I am a redneck.
Thanks boss. Heated? Oh that's another nightmare that's probably not going to happen, LOL. I can just imagine all the problems with the Chinese heaters. I've seen that picture. Question, how to get the wheel barrel out of the pool once the water is hot enoughLooking forward to the hot tub conversion.
Seriously though, nice work so far.

It's concrete. If it were me I would remove the pool and grade the surface under it to level.
Well there are ways to level concrete but it’s not cost effective probably. That being the case I think whatever I used I would want not to be something that would rot, like wood. It's concrete.
Good point about the wood and rotting. I mean this is in MA so not sure how permanent this will be?Well there are ways to level concrete but it’s not cost effective probably. That being the case I think whatever I used I would want not to be something that would rot, like wood.
You could trace the edge of the pool, noting where the “lean” is, then remove the pool and build up the low side with concrete. Just use a bonding agent under the new concrete you pour.
What is most prone to rotting in my experience is the posts that have contact with the ground. I have simpson stron tie CPS standoffs to keep the posts off the ground. I'd rather not mess with the concrete as this might not be permanent and will most likely be moved in the off season.Good point about the wood and rotting. The deck is also wood
I can tell you how to keep posts from rotting or at least slow it down significantly but it’s too late for that I suppose. What is most prone to rotting in my experience is the posts that have contact with the ground.
