RedSeven Numero Uno demo

[RoccoPezzin]

Hey guys!
Here's my demo of the RedSeven Numero Uno, Stefan Hauk's signature amp! Stefan is an awesome guitarist from Australia who teamed up with the guys at RedSeven to create his ideal blues rock amp, I think they absolutely nailed it. It's very different from the usual high-gain amps RedSeven is mostly known for. Having had the chance to play it extensively in the last couple of weeks, I would describe it as the perfect marriage of vintage and modern. Think about it as a classic British sound, but warmer, smoother and with a bolder, more solid low end. The KT88 power section offers a very high headroom, so the lows never flub out. Stefan is mostly a single coil player, and I think it shows in the overall character of this amp, it absolutely shines when using a Strat. Unfortunately, I currently don't own any guitar with single coils, so in the video I'm relying on the usual JB/59 combo, although in the last clip you can hear the 59 splitted. You can listen to Stefan playing through it with single coils in the official video on the RedSeven YouTube Channel, highly recommend checking him out, the dude's a beast!
Hope you guys dig the video, cheers!

I spent a lot of time in Italy and Sicily in the navy 45 years ago.
Never made it to my home towns

Tried once from Naples to get to ponza but was too much of a language barrier to try it by myself at 19 yrs old

I speak some Italian but not enough to travel on

Instead We ate drank and smoked Cuban cigars all day

Great demo, and even better playing.

I’m not the target audience for this amp, but I would have liked hear just a little thicker tones in the demo .

The tones were a little bright for my tastes, but that might just be the amp.

Either way way, this is my opinion, and it has no bearing on your demoing of the amp or your playing.

Thank you, I get what you're saying man! I'm often gravitating towards a leaner sound that could work better in a mix. The choice of IR makes the most difference of course, I used a single sm57 on a greenback which doesn't have much low end by itself so keep that in mind. Adding a Royer 121 or a Beyerdynamic M160 would definitely fill out the sound more, I'll keep that in mind for future videos!

I agree. The tones that I use tend to be dialed in with less low end more mids and highs to cut in a mix.
