Retro Tube 100 Noise Gate

Hi, first time poster here.

I have the ENGL Retro Tube 100 head/cab, and am having problems with feedback etc. from the amp. Is it possible that the noise gate has somehow been switched off? I have the Z9 footswitcher, is there some command I can use with this to turn the noise gate on or check if it has been switched off? Wherever I roll the Noise Gate dial too I still don't seem to have any joy with it.

Hope someone can help, I've tried to check some online manuals but they blag my head a little as I don't really have much of an understanding of the technical side of things.

You should be able to use the noise gate without the Z9. Did you try unplugging the footswitch and trying the noise gate?

This.. Those noise gates work very well.

Could have a preamp tube going south causing some noise too..
