It was dark but with treble up high it got pretty cool sounding . It’s sounded smooth but tame . It was a great tone but not aggressive. I’ll see serial #

G duals have a mid bloat that I don't care for. G Triples? Much much better Imo.

You might want to see what tubes are in it too. You can definitely make it a bit more scrappy with certain tube arrangements.

Some JJ E34L’s and Chinese pres will light a fire under its ass.

Interesting. I’ve always been 6l6 with mesas ,but I did put all el34s in my meds electrodyne and it sounds great .

EL34’s will be tighter and more aggressive. Try it out.

What tubes are in now is probably where we should start. Are they mesa branded with their number on the base?

I have a middle-ish run Rev G Triple with the pointy knobs and it rips, one of my favorite sounds and I prefer it to me 3ch and MW triples. Can’t wait to A/B with the dual Rev F when it gets back from repair (still a long ways to go on that I bet)
