That was posted here at RT too. Sounded great to me, and I'm not much for metal.

The Revalver demo sounds really good to me for the most part. Very tweakable. But the amp selection leans a little too much toward high-gain for me and the fx list is pretty skimpy.

The biggest problem I have with any amp sim plugin right now is volume-control interaction. Just running my guitar into my MOTU 828, things get too thin and much too noisy when I dial down the guit volume. I suppose this might be solved with a high quality DI box, but I don't know for sure.

But yeah, Revalver is fun and be sure to check out the Tweak controls for the amps, and custom IRs for cabs. Ton of shit to mess with in there....which almost IMO makes up for the slim number of amps modeled. The Revalver demo is one of the things I'll be using to measure the AFX against when I get mine.

You can load custom IRs for cabs into the Axe Fx also. :)

Oh believe me, I'm elbow-deep in the AFX manual and forum and wiki and... I'll be on top of it by the time the thing gets here.

Wait...that didn't sound right. :aww:
