Check out this demo Pete Thorn did for the Revival Drive by Origin Effects. Personally, I think this pedal sounds great. Towards the end he tries to match his 71 Marshall to the Revival Drive going through a solid state Matrix power amp, and he gets amazingly close. Pretty costly (around $550 I think) for an overdrive, but damn, there are a lot of sounds in that pedal. There are a lot of controls on this pedal.

I learned a long time ago that you’ll never get your pedal to sound like Pete’s.

I agree. But check this pedal out, the thing is crazy!! the controls, they are all over this thing!! Check out the end when he gets a Matrix power amp to sound like a vintage Marshall!!

I have one. I've never had a pedal feel more like an amp then this. Doesn't go high gain but the tone is glorious. $550 for the reg model $650 for the deluxe with the extra eq. I'm beyond impressed with the tone but not sure how I feel about it yet. Very heavy and setting up the eq can be a pain in the ass. It also had ALOT more ground noise then other pedals that have higher gain I.E. Friedmans BE-OD was noticeably quieter with the gain cranked up.
