What a tragic loss.

My youth was also filled with LOTS of Purple and Lord was most certainly one of the reasons I tuned in.

That sucks. I had no idea he died and the creepy thing is that I was listening to a Deep Purple greatest hits CD at work today.
 
R.I.P. Jon Lord, one of my first ever musical heroes, I listened to Deep Purple and early Whitesnake all through high school and still to this day. A gentleman and a true legend
 
Oh my gawd... Sad news indeed ! I known he had been dealing with cancer for a while and though I hoped to see him one more time, alas its not to be. Jon Lord, the quintessential rock keyboardist. Will be missed. :salute:

Thank you for the places you and your music took me.
Thanks for making 'keys' such an amazing part of such an amazing heavy metal band.

Rest in Peace, and rock out to that great gig in the sky. You'll be sorrily missed but your music will live on.
