I love mine that I just picked up a few months ago for about $500. I realized the other day though that the effects loop has the problem that apparently happens with a lot of them. I'll have to open it up and fix that, but it sounds awesome. I don't get what the complaint is about them

Diggin' the tones Jim! Do you have the Barber Direct Drive going in?

I hated that amp with a passion. Marshall made me stock them for the first two years they were out and I would have to listen to those things day in and day out. I damn near threw a party when I sold my last one lol.

What about the amp did you severely dislike?

Loved the 2266 from the first time I played it. Accumulated the 425A and 425B cabs and now have the full stack. It's Marshall trouser flapping at its best.

Never played the amp but have a 425b headed my way. Hope I dig it.

Hey guys.... I gave the amp a slight mod as per Steve Dawson. Changed C1 and C2. Gives the amp a touch more gain and makes it a bit darker. Yes I boosted the hell out of it with my Barber Direct Drive.

Fuck that Jim, your vids with that amp are some of the best sounding vidios I've heard!!!!!!!

Thanks guys but listening back to this vid... I screwed up the tone. To buzzy due to the BDD being set to hot and the Body knob needs turned down a bit. Makes it to flubby. Oh well.
