Rivera - Clarifying which tubes do what

Hello all,

I have a Rivera Clubster Royale Recording 25w - 6V6. I believe I completely understand the signal path of the amp but pulled up the closest schematic I could to confirm. I have actually used this to repair a solder that went out before, so it should be pretty close I would think.

If anyone could confirm what exactly is used for the Clean channel (channel 2), that would be cool. From the sound, seems like the second tube in the lineup is involved.

My thoughts:

3 12ax7
First tube is used on ch 1 (lead/crunch)

When you pull the boost, it engages 2nd tube.

2nd tube drives effects and reverb tank

I think the 1st and 2nd tube together work on channel 2 (clean)

3rd tube is the PI and pushes everything to the output tubes.

I am studying up on reading wiring charts and such currently, so hopefully I can trace down the signal path with confidence soon.

Not your exact amp but appears helpful. I didn't know the preamp had solid state as well as tubes.

ahhh ok .... I read through your post ... problem with the schematic you and I posted is .... it's only showing V1 and the Phase inverter tube ... I don't see a second pre amp tube in that schematic ....

Yeah, not the same as my amp it seems. When I requested a diagram from Rivera however long ago they said they would get me one but never did.

I am not certain they have the diagram...... nice.
