Here's the clip with the K85s. I think I actually prefer it to the V30s! It's a very thick sounding speaker and much more neutral than the V30.

Here's the settings for this one
  • Presence - 8
  • Foundation - 2
  • Master - 4.5
  • Treble - 7.5
  • Middle - 4
  • Bass - 4
  • Gain - 5
  • Boost not engaged.

Nice clips. I actually like the added mids of the V30s, but both sound good.

Both clips sound great.
The K85's sound real beefy.
My amp settings are different depending on what cab and speakers I'm using.

The settings I posted earlier are the settings I have for g12t75 speakers.
I'll slightly scoop the mids and back off the treble with v30's.

I just took delivery of a Rivera K Tre today... I'm impressed. Big sound in this box for sure. Slam an old school TS-10 on the front end and the brutals are many. Going to have to hold onto this one for a while. A month or so at least.

damn all of you! cant believe i haven't got one of these heads yet. the sell so cheap.

y'alls clips kick ass! makin' me jones hard. and i know they are built well.

been watching this thread since it started, and that tre was in the classifieds.

Couple gut shots if anyone is interested...since Rivera's aren't widely used like many other amps.

Nice, I haven't cracked mine open yet.. I can barely lift it up with my pinched nerve in my shoulder blade lol. Did you happen to see where the bias pot/ bias test points are?

The bias pot is located right next to the V5 tube socket.

The Bias test point is literally across the 2 Big 250V capacitors on the bottom portion of the amp.
You can't miss it.
Notice where the 2 black cylinder shaped 1kohm resistors are.
You'll see bias test point written on the board.

I had the Valve Queen install a fresh set of power, pres, & a bias adjustment. This amp is a monster through a 4x12 loaded w/ greenbacks. Digging it.

Thanks for that!

Still loving this amp, finally got a chance last weekend to test it out a bit more for direct recording using a Suhr RL and some IR's. Came out ok, also used it for my bass and it sounded damn good in the clean channel. I'm not a power metal guy but I fucked around and made a power metal song for fun.. just need to insert some vikings and dragons later ;)
