The rockcrusher has my interest. I just wish it had a 4ohm setting. I am also a little concerned that the steps will be a little to big.

I have often wondered about the long-term effects of a 20 ohm fixed load on a cranked amp
lots of debate on that subject, I've never been willing to chance it. Lots of what he said makes sense
Nice unit, looks well made too. 2 spkr jacks also, thats cool

That demo is the best vie heard from an attenuator video demo. Very interested...

I wish someone would get one and give a report.

But they are not the first with variable ohm settings as he states. Well he says "as far as he knows" and "he's done extensive research". There are quite a few that do that, and quite a few built like tanks. Why he needs to run competitors down is beyond me.

If it works well it's a good price point.

My local dealer is waiting for their's to arrive. I'll be testing it out along with my THD HotPlate to hear the differences, but I'm 100% sure I'll end up getting the RockCrusher. I'm a Rivera fan-boi and this unit looks awesome.

I found a thread on TGP. One dude used one with the same amp model I have and returned it the next day. Hmmmmmmmmm

I respectfully disagree. They don't compensate for the volume loss with the recording level so you can truly hear if there is any coloration. Ed D, a long time ago, did a great run through of the Hot Plate where he would use the mixer/interface to compensate so all clips were equal volume. The HP did very well in that.

I wasnt really saying the demo was awesome but that its the first demo I have ever heard where i still liked the tone after attenuation. I should have been more clear.

Hey Guys,
I'm using one of the Rivera Rock Crushers with my 1993 Marshall 100W 1959 Super Lead. It works great, and doesn't seem to change your tone like other Attenuators seem to do.

I have one and I love it. Plus my demo does both volume adjusted and non so you can hear the difference - or rather lack there off. It just makes things quieter and that is all, no change in tone all the way down. I even used a looper for the riff so the only change is the rock crusher.
