Rivera TBR-5 - Hammer 320 Power amp.....

Never tried that one, but the only other monster power amps that are in that class are the VHT 2150, Mesa Strategy 400, 500 & Colisuem 300, & Langner Brutus. Wizard also made 1 or 2 150w power amps in the early 90s.

I hope for $1499 that Rivera comes with GE6550s.
 
the 320 has 8 6550's vs the 2150's 4 6550's.

The weight and power are noticeable in the Rivera.

The rivera is cheaper, easier to work on, and has a warmer, more "rock" sound. It also takes pretty much any octal tube with a rebias, unlike the 2150 which has to use big bottles.

If I had to pick one power amp, it would be the Rivera tbr3 120 watt model.
 
SHIT.

Hmm, my old TBR2SL came with eight GE 6550's. Some of them tested new, and sounded really good. (not $100 per tube good though. Fuckin crazy!)
