Building a rack mounted Wet/Dry amp rig with a pedal drawer.

I'm looking to get this pedal switcher (RJM Effect Gizmo Audio Loop Switcher)
with this MIDI Foot Controller (RJM Mastermind LT)

I've read great things about RJM, they're even recommended highly by The Rig Doctor.

Anyone have experience with RJM. Looks like quality equipment and I have no reason currently to question the brand/products. So I'm looking to go with them for my rig build. I'd love to hear from anyone whl has opinions or experience with the brand's products.

Thanks!

Owned a Mastermind GT 22 for a while. Top notch. Built like a brick shit house.

Used it to control my JVM 410 HJS and my Axe FX 3. Replaced it with an FC-12 and integrated the JVM with the Axe FX.

It is good gear.

I have an Effect Gizmo and a Mastermind GT.

They're absolutely top quality products. RJM makes well built and reliable stuff. The Effect Gizmo is great and has a ton of options, way more than you'd think would be necessary for "just" a switcher, and the Mastermind is basically the most advanced MIDI controller you can get for guitar. You can program any switch to do basically as many MIDI commands and/or device commands (like changing presets, changing preset pages) as you want. Also, I'm just some guy and I've been able to speak with the owner / product designer / lead programmer of the company on their forums.

You'll have a tough time finding anything better.

Who cares what this scammer, thief and overall certified piece of shit recommends?

My word...

What did the Rig Doctor do to earn such ire?

Not that I am questioning you. I mean, the guy IS from Commiefornia... :p

Still, please elaborate. What makes the Rig Doctor a scammer?

The Vertex guy (the Rig Doctor) bought a bunch of BBE Ben-Wah pedals, took the guts out and stuffed them in different enclosures and then re-sold them as some kind of ultimate "boutique" wah pedal

If I remember right, anyway

That said, I've heard nothing but good shit about the RJM stuff and as far as I know the Vertex guy has nothing to do with them

Yep, on top of that he screwed over his customers, took their money, never delivered everything ordered and there are still people out there waiting for their money. Or the fact that he steals the design and work of others (not just BBE) and sells it as his own. Guy is a legit piece of shit. Even posterboys of his own target audience like Bonamassa and Landau came out and distanced themselves from Vertex Mason who crowned himself as The Rig Doctor who claims to work for professionals even though most professionals are avoiding him like the plague.

Oh geeze! Something did seem off about his attitiude. Very arrogant in many of his videos and when he answers comments online.

Will steer clear of him. But I've still hear great things about RJM elsewhere beyond him... hopefully they are in fact good products.

RJM products are great. I used an amp gizmo and a Mastermind midi foot controller for a few years extensively and never had a problem.
Mastermind GT or LT?

Still deciding on which I want.

I like the screens on each button of the GT series (would choose the GT/1O) but I love the small form factor of the LT... I am in a pickle! This is hard!

Ron is one of the nicest guys in the business. His tech support was always top notch and response time was always pretty fast. I am still using an RG-16 and have 2 of the mini mixers. Buy with confidence. Good luck!

Been using the original Mastermind (serial #001!!!), first with an effect gizmo and currently with an amp gizmo for several years now. Not a single glitch ever. Rock solid products. Highly recommended.

RJM = quality.

Great customer support too.

Yeah. I've been reading and hearing great things.

I'm going with the Mastermind LT...

I wish they had a model between the GT/1O and LT that had the screens of the Gt and a footprint closer to the LT. But other than that, I'm stoked to get this switching system!
