Any of you guys run two amps with the RG-16?
If so, just wondering about phase problems/ground loops, etc.

On the RG's description on website it says
"All jacks are electrically isolated where possible, preventing ground loops and allowing multiple amps to be controlled safely "
This seems to be the only switcher that is made to run 2 amps simultaneously without noise problems.

I'd rather go a cheaper route (GCX or Rocktron Patchmate because of the buffer), but if I would have to purchase more gear to make everything run quietly I would probably choose the RJM.
Opinions?

Anything can still have ground loops, but the RJM helps. It would be a matter of finding the ground loops and fixing those. You may not even have any. I use 3 amps. How are you running yours?

I have a RJM and I used it to run two amps (Mark IV and SigX). It works ok but I did have a ground loop. I had to lift a ground on one amp and the problem went away.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Shark, I'm still not able to run multiple amps. Haven't decided on a switcher yet. Leaning towards the RJM though :)

I use an RG-16 with 2 amps and have had no issues. Both are Egnater (m4 and Mod 50) so maybe that has some bearing on it. Works like a charm though and the RJM buffer is very nice sounding compared to the GCX. Just an FYI.

also have rjm, run two amps and bought one of those cheap ground lift plug at lowes, it goes from 3 prong to 2 prong. no more noise. The one amp uses the others ground, from what i understand. been using the rg16/mastermind for a year now, excellent!
