Man, you don't like anything do you? Well, except maybe Holdsworth

Au contraire, mon frere.

By stating what I don't like, it's like making a sculpture.

What remains, the sculpture, is what I like.

I'm an artist, bro.
:worship:

Bro, I teed it up for you to knock it out of the park. The proper response was: "Just bc no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist."

I'll give axeme the benefit on this particular thread nonetheless... It's a point of interest that's really had me fuming for a long time. How absolutely ridiculous to pay more for beat to shit - er, - cosmetically stressed gear.

+1 axeme, take the other criticism any way you may, but I wholeheartedly agree on this particular thread's premise

I have no issues with receiving or taking criticism. This is a forum where you are allowed to state your opinion. Some people do have remarkably thin skins around here and that makes it even more interesting than it otherwise would be.

Just do me a favor and don't team up with Crimson... Things might get ugly if that happened ;)

By all means, feel free. Being someone who despises all facets of country and blues, I've never gotten into single coil guitars and always equated the two. I have gotten more into singles lately for clean stuff and stuff with a bit of hair, but nothing high gain.

One sounds like a really good tele, one sounds like a really good strat.
The tex-mex pickups sound great in both of them, a little hotter than typical Fender pickups.
They sound great clean and with gain.....wouldn't change a thing.

I like road worn series they play great sound much better to me I am ocd and If I buy new it makes crazy cleaning them

I think some of you guys are missing the point. It's an image, a fashion statement. It's the sane crap as jeans with holes costing $150. The whole ideal behind selling in the music industry is to sell people a piece of thier dreams. Almost everybody playing music wants to be a rockstar or wants to be as cool as "insert rockstar here". Why hate? It's all business. Relics look cool as shit. The originals are better, but I sure can't afford a '62 strat. I'd never spend extra for a relic, but at the same price as a non-relic? I wouldn't care. Guitar is a guitar. If it plays and sounds good play it.

What i don't understand is,Fender comes out with the same fucking guitar every few months but has a new name for it.
How many times can you re-hash a Tele and Strat? And they're prices for Mexi guitars are crazy  I guess i just don't
know the direction Fender is going in,the custom shop is nuts too,why can't they put a top on a guitar? Maple, flame, curly etc.
Or a neck thru? Nahhhhh,it's the same guitar with a different name, either Hand made,Japanese,Mexican,USA production.Don't get me
wrong,i like Fender, but be original like they were 50 years ago, look at how many different Les Pauls are around.
Then look at G&L,Anderson,Suhr etc etc etc. If they want to charge big bucks then build to look big bucks.
If i want road worn i'll buy a Nash,if i want a Les Paul i'll buy a Navigator.

Dude... I see you're on fire with this forum as of late. I guess thumbs up if ya gots nothing better to do. I'm not passing judgement, I'm here just the same.

To your comment - I am 100% behooved at this current trend of 'road worn' and 'relic' and 'VOS' bullshit. I can't stand it, and I would NEVER buy something that was already 'cosmetically stressed' in the hopes that it felt 'more played in' and offered 'more mojo' (exactly WHAT does that mean, anyway?!?!?!). What a steaming heap of horseshit. Like, seriously people!! Is that how pathetic the buying public has become?? We succumb to this marketing machine's notion that by 'going through a special, select process at the manufacturers' plant, that 100% effectively duplicates the look and feel of a vintage and/or worn masterpiece' we'll be in better standing to shred/cut heads?

I'm at a loss for any further words on this particular matter. It's been something that's been bugging me since Day No.1 when I first saw the trend...and it continues to irk me no end.

Whatever,
V.

PS - I can see it now, "Heritage Tour Tattered Axe FX Model" replete with sticky beer stains, dents, pre-arranged cigarette ashes inside the chassis and nicotine scent; inoperable LED's - additional upcharge only $299.00 LIMITED TIME OFFER.
+10000 THANK YOU... i mean if I take zero care of the body of my guitar ,thrash the s out of it itS worth crap.... if fender or gibson ,etc do it ,its now worth twice as much,,.. ding dong people ,
My Wizard MC100 had a relic'd chassis. I never knew it when I bought it , but Rick said it was special ordered that way. Not for me.
