The biggest problem with the Mike RT mod is Michael himself. The guy is a total douchbag and isn’t worthy of anyone’s money. Again, like the Rockstah mod, Mike RT makes his mod sound awesome and I doubt it sounds that good live.
Says the guy with 37 posts
Seriously dude?
MichaelRT has been around here and a bunch of other forums for quite a while, sharing knowledge and always being cool.
:lame:

he ripped, was a nice guy and i loved the vh tones he got from his mods.

he posted a jam track thing many moons ago on this forum, recorded with a line 6 toneport. he did the first solo, then left space for whoever dared take that monster on, and back and forth it went. i took a stab with a fender xd champ and a dirt box which sounded fairly crappy but this is about mark pulling sick tones from a POD and shredding like yngwie:

I owned a Mojave Peacemaker that Mark modded. That amp was great and had the perfect amount of gain for me. I sold it stupidly. Love to have that one back. The peacemaker without mods is awesome too! I know your aware of that! ???

I scooped up Marks #2 ground-up build a few years back. It is documented, chassis is signed and dated. I actually sent it out to George at Metro for a check up and clean bill of health. I cannot imagine ever letting it go just because of what it is. Super unique tone and feel. Not at all like playing a modern amp with tons of gain and compression. This is literally an iPhone in the room with zero post production.

He was such a wicked player with a great ear. Sad that he passed the way he did.

Mod 5 sounds great PDC! Mod 5's sound great they're just different in the way a variac'd plexi feels and sounds overall but mod 5 does a good job delivering the sound and tone. I've built the mod5 several times and after directly comparing the mod5 to my plexi and the RT mod I still maintain that RTMod gets the closest to actual plexi tone and feel but there is nothing wrong with the results of the Mod 5 plus you don't have to variac and all that extra bullshit you need to do to get a plexi/superlead house friendly......

for me it and the cameron atomica are my two favorite rock amps of all time that i have played.

I still have my Coyote, but I miss the power of the Peacemaker. Im determined to get another some day. Your clips are great. I think I’ve seen most of them!

aloha mr. savage! hope you are doing magnificently well and have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my friend!

Hey Pat!

Doing great here and hope the same to you and yours! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

i had the coyote/peacemaker as well and Vic used to run both in a two amp switching system.

you can run the coyote hot and get that thick midrangey power tube drive for leads, and the PM for everything else!

Michael R/T did a great mod on a Peacemaker too -thing sounded killer!

I could not recommend Michael R/T enough. He did mod an amp for me, a 75 Marshall SLP.
His communication was nothing short of amazing, and after he got my amp for the mod, it only took him 4 days to message me and tell me the amp was getting packed to be sent back.
Great communication, honest pricing, incredibly fast turnaround, and extremely solid and reliable work.
Regarding his mods tone, it sounded like an amazing sounding early super lead. But with more gain, more dynamics and at bedroom volume!
Early VH, a lot of the 80's Marshall tone, Humble Pie, Jimmy Pages Marshall tone, Robin Trower... you could nail all those great Marshall tone with his mod.
Unfortunately, I had to sell the amp in order to help with the recording studio expenses, but I'll get another 100SL modded by him at some point. Hopefully sooner than later.

I’d have to think his mods add value. I’d overpay for a modded one. I never see them come up for sale.

I have the 50 watter Eric Fraser use to own. One of the better sounding mods Rockstah ever did. There is a few clips of Eric playing some VH and ACDC on it. He sounded good on both.

i loved this clip when mark first posted it and it still sounds so good

there will always be that disconnect between how an amp sounds in a clip versus how it plays and feels with your gtr/speakers/fx in the room but man if i could plug straight into an amp and get this tone with the right squishy feel and sustain i'm after, i'd be totally pleased!

the peacemaker isn't a simple plug and play deal. the cameron atomica was the closest to that thing i've played where the vh tone is there and the single notes feel fat and slippery kinda like a boogie.
