Just noticed this product. Anyone have any experience with it? +'s and -'s to it over other things like the RJM switcher and the GCX switcher?

one of the artists I tech for had one over the summer. it gave us problems all summer and the buffer section added a lot of noise to the chain. I really wanted to like it but the quality didn't seem up to snuff...

Can't speak for this version of it, but for years I used the original patchmate without issue. I did run a buffer with it though to avoid the tone suck.

I can however tell you that the RJM gear is excellent! I've been using the RG-16 for some time now and it works flawlessly. It's quiet and the buffer is very transparent. I think Friedman designed it, and it has an adjustable level control. You won't get better customer service than Ron at RJM either.

My $.02

Cool. I'm not really to the point where I need a switcher yet, but I still like to know what's out there, and what's good / bad.

The RG-16 is great. I like it just because it is easy to prgram. There is no tone suckage. I even got the Mastermind. They are prtty pricet, but if you don't need it now, put some money away. It is well worth it.
