Rocktron TOL

Is there much difference between the rocktron and the original TOL amps? Gonna get a chance to fire up the one we got in used tomorrow. I think I also read in a previous thread that the RM 4 footswitch will work with this amp. Doesn't have one with it.

I am not trying to start a huge debate. Really didn't know there was one. I have no knowledge of these amps at all. I'm just looking for some knowledge. Thanks in advance.

differences:

1. Rocktron built it.

2. the knobs have slightly different, custom tapers (due to the buying power of a large company like Rocktron)

3. not as desirable on the used market.


BTW, not sure why Rod said "Here we go." There's no big debate or anything controversial in the TOL amps. I don't get it.

The TOL is a great amp. An Egnater original will fetch more $$ because of who made it. I've owned one of each and they are both nice.

Hi all...I said that cause some folks thought the Rocktron versions were sub par...I thought they were equally great amps
