I bought a boss power supply from a pawn shop last month and the old guy running the place said "it came with a pedal...you can have it..sounds like $&@/!"

I don't like to mod "vintage" Marshall for the same reasons but Ralph's 100w '72 has been violated, power transformer not original, all the mustards gone, nothing original anymore

I would just install an Axe FX inside that thing then. See if Ralph notices. Just set the patch to Stun and the gain to Obliterate and the review from Ralph that follows will cause your phone to ring off the hook.

Question on Scotty's mod? How will you change the battery in the Metal Zone in there without him noticing? Did you tell him to not leave the cord plugged into the input jack while he's not playing it?

That's all these east coasters need Mike. They want the amp to say Marshall on it but they want it to have unnatural amounts of gain to it.

My orders and work load say different as a large percentage of them are west coasters

That's cool if you don't dig my mods/amp Maybe someday if you get a chance to plug into some of my work, you can give me some more constructive feedback on it. It would be much appreciated.

Thanks for giving up the goods on my mods I had to install a special port on the back of Scott's amp and told him to plug into that massive oil drum in his basement...no battery...it runs on oil

Funny about axefx set to stun, he plugged my yingyang clone into his axefx and the guitar was wailing like the thing had humbuckers in it

Curt, if the bottom part of the headshell was not getting so loose I would flat out ship my amp to you and you can have it. I THINK I will be in San Ramon the week of Oct 26th and would love to see your face after trying that amp...it has that staccato open type lead tone you want in spades I am very sure.

When I saw you were in Canada I had to throw those in there too. I'm kind of disappointed you're not a real Canadian, you just illegally immigrated there to do the work that Canadians don't want to do. Gracias.

I have never heard one of your amps so I can't really criticize it and don't believe I actually ever have. I did say that the Cali mod clip on You Tube sounds like something Satan would plug into and not something Jeff Spicoli would plug into so I don't know if that's a compliment or a criticism. We have all been kidding Ralph about how accurate his forum name is for years now. You're his boy now so maybe I just assumed guilt by association with the gain levels.

Like donbarzini, I have owned a lot of modded amps over the years, but unlike donbarzini I have actually liked a couple of them. I don't think your mods sound like Axe FX's or Metal Zones, just messing with Scott and Ralph. And as fas as Rig Talk goes your amps are freaking white hot popularity wise and you have the heavyweights (and Scotty ) in your corner. If I truly didn't dig your amps I wouldn't pop into these threads, but when Scott and Ralph are around there's normally lots of fun to be had.

I have a MINT MK IV for sale, man this is a win win situation for the both on us!!! I want to buy a 1959HW as you know I am all about pure unmolested plexi tones.

I am serious about the HW though and promise it won't get modded.
